Our story
We ran the groups. Then we built something better.
TopSwap was born out of the Coronado Yard Sale 92118 Facebook group — one of the most active buy/sell/swap communities in San Diego County. With thousands of members and hundreds of posts a week, we dealt with every marketplace headache firsthand.
We kept it running well — manually verifying every member, removing stale posts, moderating around the clock. But Facebook wasn't built for this. Buried messages. The daily “is this still available?” grind. Sellers juggling 15 DMs. Buyers who never show up. We knew every pain point because we lived them.
So we built the marketplace we always wished existed: verified locals only, AI that does the heavy lifting, and a fair queue system that actually works.
