TopSwap

Child Safety Standards

Our commitment to keeping minors safe — and off — the platform.

Zero tolerance

TopSwap has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit it in every part of the app — listings, photos, profiles, comments, and messages — and we remove it and the accounts responsible. We report apparent CSAE to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required by law.

Adults only — by design

TopSwap is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. Participation requires verifying a real residential address — we mail a physical postcard with a code, or verify a government ID. This residency gate makes anonymous or underage signups impractical and keeps the marketplace to verified local adults. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed.

Moderation

Listings, photos, and content are screened by AI-assisted moderation when posted, and flagged content is escalated to human review. Content that violates our policies — including anything that endangers a child — is removed, and repeat or severe violations result in account termination.

Reporting & blocking

Every member can act on unsafe content directly in the app:

  • Report any listing, comment, profile, or message for review.
  • Block any user — they can no longer see or contact you.
  • Reports are reviewed by our moderation team; confirmed violations are removed.

How to report a child-safety concern

Use the in-app report on any content, or email support@topswap.app. Suspected child exploitation is treated as the highest priority and is reported to law enforcement and NCMEC. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Compliance

We comply with applicable child-safety laws and with the child-safety standards policies of the app stores we distribute through. We review these standards regularly. Questions: support@topswap.app.
